and the winner is…

Hello everybody,

The Bennie Award-72 I am pleased to announce that the Blog Comment Award has been won by non other than…Mr. Ordinary Mostly… for bravely going where no man or woman has gone before. He has written a candid and insightful, comment to my post, “Please leave a comment” (September 25, 2009). What a guy!! OM gets the Brave and Handsome Bennie Award for… yes… you guessed it: bravery in leaving a comment!!

So, anyone else out there want to try for the Baby Kitty Bella Award or the Grumpy Old Frank Award? (Neither baby talk nor grumpiness need be a prerequisite for winning.)  Yours truly, Called by Name

Oh, thank you, thank you. (happy tears) This is just the cat’s meow. (sob, sob) I really don’t know where to begin. I’m sure there were so many potential award candidates that I must have just won by a whisker.

Now let’s see… I really need to thank everyone who made this pawsible. You may as well get comfy – lines and lines of names…

My parents and wife and daughters. Of course, I need to thank Jack and Callie, as well.

Oh dear, if I forget someone, they’ll have a catniption fit…

Never accuse me of being funny. Mennonites are not funny.

You are so sadly right about Mennonites. As a bunch they are not a bit funny, but you, my dear, are funny in a sweet way, not in a ha-ha way. You are predictably unpredictable and you make us smile with your wit and transparency. I’m thinking that in a Mennonite world, that might constitute funny…you just never know.
